Deck hands usually make a small percent of net at the end of the season but it's hard to get on unless you know someone on the boat. Working at a fish processing plant will usually start at $8 to $9 per hour. Dock work pays more if you can run a forklift. It's long hours, lot's of overtime. You earn every cent. Been there, done that...
