I am planning to move to Alaska when I retire and the area around Glennallen interests me. I have only been there once, but the mountain views are spectacular. Are there any mushers in the area? I have also been looking at property in or near Sutton, too. Anyone have any info about mushers in either area? Thanks!

No real info about musher but is that something your thinking of getting into is that why you are so interested? I think Glennallen is a great place I have alway enjoyed being there. However, it is very, very cold at times in the winter (one of the coldest) and it is a very religious community so if either of those things bother you, you may want to consider another place.

Try the Wasilla, Palmer, Big Lake, or Willow area if you're interested in mushing.
