Don't fall for the "cheap labor" gag. Trust CA on this, it isn't cheap after you factor in the pillaging of Social Services.

Especially when they hear about getting $3300 per year to reside there! I went to Lowes the other day and three of the workers there had purchased tickets to make an exploratory trip up there to see what type of work they could find. I hope your infrastructure is ready for it. I visited Alaska once many years ago when in the service. Not for me, but with the way they are glamorizing it, LOOK OUT HERE THEY COME!
Down here, it is 24/7 Alaska this and Alaska that and none of it looks too bad in my opinion.

People talking about it, and actually doing it, are two very different things. It costs alot to move up there, and costs alot to live there. The climate and long, dark winters will not suit many people.
I predict that there will be growth, but not a huge influx. And some of those that *do* come up will be gone in 2-3 years.
And around where I live, I don't hear anyone, much less "everyone", talking about moving to Alaska. Is this just a Carolina thing?

Story of my life....just get to the point in my life where I can finially live my dream and they've built a bunch of Walmarts and I would never recognize Anchorage. Luv your Gov, but with the spotlight shining on ya'll now, I pray there isn't a mass migration by next year when (knock on wood) I was planning on being ready. It's already starting to look like what I want to leave behind.

Last night was great! Had a nice big juicy ribeye steak smothered in bbq sauce grilled to perfection. Tonight it's fried chicken probably with mashed potatoes. I think tomorrow it'll be pork chops or something pork, maybe even ribs. Oh I love meat!

Don't get around much, do you? You're the one who's stirring the pot, telling us all how we should live. All we did was say 'stay home, you don't belong here.'
