Trust me on this people of Alaska. Your state is about to get a wave of new citizens it has never seen before. The press coverage you are getting is unbelievable down here. I go to the coffee shop, starbucks, eateries, and everyone is talking about Alaska. It is EVERYWHERE! Many I've spoken with are looking into moving up there. Especially when they hear about getting $3300 per year to reside there! I went to Lowes the other day and three of the workers there had purchased tickets to make an exploratory trip up there to see what type of work they could find. I hope your infrastructure is ready for it. I visited Alaska once many years ago when in the service. Not for me, but with the way they are glamorizing it, LOOK OUT HERE THEY COME!

Down here, it is 24/7 Alaska this and Alaska that and none of it looks too bad in my opinion.

They will be surprised - have to wait to get the $$ They can purchase whatever they want, but where you are from - they not only have to do the talk, they have to walk the walk, and they'll be back whining..... makes me silly....

They ain't coming by my land, I'll have my attack bears guarding things from crowds of people.

I think shortly the advantages to only having 1 percent of the land privately owned will be visible.

Hey yall, don't kill the messenger. I'm not the one moving there, I'm perfectly happy where I'm at. You had to see this coming, did you not? It's just funny. In all my years living here in the continental US, I hear Alaska mentioned maybe once per year. I hear "Alaska" mentioned 500 times a day now. This does not include the TV either. This is everyday people.
