I make a wicked stick of deer jerky... Lot's and lot's of practice. Although, no whitetails in Alaska I will have to come back to Pa for them.. That is one thing I will miss.. hunting whitetails with my family and friends..

There are plenty of blacktails in AK, and IMO, they taste better than whitetails.

Wow, I thought Blacktails were only in the Southeast part of the state? This could be to good to be true..

There are deer in Kodiak and surrounding islands, not far from Seward and Whittier also has deer, and pretty much all along the panhandle (southeast).

Not like walking out my back door like I can do now... I think the moose, bear and goats will make up for the deer though..
