Lot's of up - down - and around corners! Plus some of the most beautiful country he will ever see! Some dangerous stuff along the way. Tell him to be careful and bring a camera. He'll see some critters along the way. And the food is great at Coldfoot.

I used the oil company vehicles when I drove the Haul Road, and they were equipped with a radio, good cold-weather gear, and two spare tires.
It is a long, but gorgeous drive. Tell him to bring a camera.

He appreciates the info. He will definitely take a camera. The way it sounds they are sending two heavy haul trucks up there too, so will be a caravan
He said when we moved up here that he wanted to drive that one, so I just said have at it....Am sure he will love it, and will be stopping in Coldfoot to eat for sure I bet

In my very first post of the "recent ak pics" thread most of those pictures are from the trip Sweden and I took up the haul road last year in August. So he can get an idea of the majestic scenery there.
