About rural, Conservative Americans, these people don't like Obama because he's a black man. In other words, "Conservative" is synonymous with "Racist" in this day and age, and millions (not just Obama) turn their noses up at this very backwards segment of our society. You can't possibly sit there as a Conservative and expect to be taken seriously if you fault a man for not catering to people who don't like him because of his race.
I don't care about race at all. I don't like Obama because he's an anti-second amendment gun grabber, for big government, raising taxes, and his entire campaign is all style and no substance. You are quite bigoted against a large part of our population. You need to get out more, away from places like San Francisco, to see how things are, instead of flinging the garbage you have.

Let's face it, the guy who posted this statement is filled with so much hatred it is scary. He represents much of the bay area, but certainly not all of it, thank goodness. There is a reason we no longer live in California and it isn't the climate that drove us away. Most of us have reasons for not liking Obama, 90% of us don't dislike him because he is black...I have problems with many of his views or lack of and his irregance (spelling) I am sure those who have problems with McCain have reasons, but the garbage Alexus printed is way off base..

For some people they find it practically immoral that someone would not like Obama and wouldn't want to vote for him, so they automatically assume race is an issue. And sadly for some people that might be the case, but for the majority I think it's about the issues he does and doesn't stand for, it's not his race.

I did give Ray rep for his post above, so for those that couldn't give it to him just know that myself and I'm sure others did pass it along.

How can race be an issue when no one knows what race he really is? From the geneaology I've seen posted he's 65% white.

this is a very good point.

I think I remember about a year or so ago, many were saying he stood no chance of even getting the nomination or the black vote because he wasn't black enough (whatever that means) now some are saying, anyone who isn't supporting him could be a racist...??? What is this all about?

Hey, don't be so hard on the guy. After all, what do you expect him to do, defend Obama's positions on the issues?? Come on, it's much easier to parrot infantile platitudes and engage in childish name calling. Besides, don't you know that this is what real scholarly debate is? I think all that cold weather up there is finally gettin' to you guys!

I think Obama in an empty suit. He was raised in the Daily Machine in Chicago which is the most crooked machine in the Country. He can't make up his mind on anything. Poor Joe Biden has been around forever and is usually wrong on everything. I remember when he ran for President in the 80's and dropped out because he lied about his education and plagiarized college papers and speeches in the campaign. Obama did not have the guts to pick Hillery. A strong leader picks strong people to be around him. A strong leader knows how to channel the strength of the people around him. Both Biden and Obama voted to send the Bridge to Nowhere money to Alaska for the bridge instead to the Katrina victims. Palen then took the money to repair roads all over Alaska. Charley was looking down his nose at her the whole time. I wanted to smack him. I think she did very well
