Per Newsweek:

Over the past weekend, Palin's poll numbers dropped 10 points:

Favorable View: Fri- 52%, Mon-48%

Unfavorable View: Fri-30%, Mon 36%.

The Palin bubble is popping.

I think the teleprompter lie was what caused some parts of the corporate media to rebel against what the boardroom told them to write and say.

The op was " Who here has personally met Sarah Palin". I do not fall into that category,so I made no comments, but I was interested in the "Who here" who answered, until it turned into a knock down drag out!

Why would anyone believe what Newsweek writes? Since they didn't call me and ask my opinion I'd have to say their poll is hogwash. My opinion didn't change. McCain and Palin will win by 41 electoral votes.

Usually when a thread gets off topic it is moderated
Where? Take a look around this board and then come back and say that (and I don't mean just the Alaska forum). Conversations are what they are; they go off topic.

And this forum IS moderated, and moderated very well, by someone who allows actual conversations to take place.

so it is my comment on it being an open thread, you don't agree with. I can see where you are coming from but just the name Sarah is going to bring out everyone regardless of the heading.

Yes, it is off subject, many threads get deverted, in fact I would say the majority do regardless of the reasons. This goes for these, travel, political or whatever.

Polls are snapshots, as I'm sure you know.
Newsweek's is the latest (timewise).

Actually Met the Charlotte Section has plenty of moderator warnings & locked threads where threads have gone off topic & been sanitized. This section is more laid back than most of the other sections on this board. Even when we go way off topic, the thread usually comes full circle at some point & everything's cool. But off topic threads that stay open aren't the norm for this board, based on what I've seen at any rate.
