Some people really need to get a life and really shouldn't own a computer to spread their BS! Which is it Arizona, Georgia or Alaska????

Yes, I do suggest you take a look at her other posts.

She doesn't say that Arizona or Georgia are her "home states", just that she is thinking of relocating there. What's wrong with considering several different places? Isn't that what this board is for?

Seems she was born at Elmendorf. She may have left there when she was very young.

Anyway, to the OP--I think you could find retail work pretty easily in any of the populated places in Alaska, so it's more of a matter of deciding what kind of community you want to live in. There's a lot of information on this forum about different places.

Yep, I looked at the posts. There is a good chance that she is seriously looking.

It will not be difficult to find work for her in any decent sized town just like Met said. She will need to realize that cashier work will require her to watch her budget more carefully than she might in Georgia. I know there are places in the midwest and south where housing does not eat as large a chunk of ones income as it does in the west and in Alaska

I did look at her other post and she didn't say she was "looking" or "considering" moving, she flat out says she is relocating from Georgia to Arizona, and also relocating to Alaska. Not trying to be a smartalic or anything but being someone who just relocated from VA to here, it's a big decision, and not one to just throw out there. If she was just looking it would have been better to say so. So people wouldn't have questioned her other posts.
I'm not the one that brought up her other posts, but I have heard so many people on this forum mention how people move up here on a whim and then can't hack it, moving to Alaska is very different from moving to just "another" state. It's much harder here as well as expensive, and should be taken very seriously!!

To the OP if you are genuine in considering a move here, my suggestion would be to save, save, save your money. And always have a back up plan in case your job offer doesn't go threw. Good Luck!
