I have recently been burdened to come to Alaska, to share the wonderful news of the Lord Jesus. I am interested in the King Cove area. If there is any info please reply.

Amen to that Rance. No sacrifice at all.
King Cove is located about 25 miles from Cold Bay, where you'll probably fly in from Anchorage. Use Pen Air (also known as When? Air). From there, you might get a connection with Kenai Float Planes. Try and get Theo as a pilot, as I have always had more trust in him than even some of the older guys. As far as I know, the only Baptist church in that area is in Sand Point, about 100 miles away to the east on an Island. There might be another one in Naknek or in King Salmon. But there may actually be a congregation in Port Heiden or False Pass too. |

I would like to find out if there is an immediate need for a young preacher to fulfill the calling God has put on his life. I recently discussed this issue with a missionary that is headed up to Anchorage next year. But, depending on the need, there is a possibility I can come sooner if it is THE PERFECT WILL OF GOD. He told me about a Church in King Cove that does not have a Pastor, is this an accurate statement.
Phil. 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory. |

King Cove is a pretty good ways from me. About the only advice I can give...would be to call information and try to get a phone number for a Baptist Church? You might google King Cove and see what comes up. I have no idea if there is a chamber of commerce web site or anything. If you do get over there...be sure to check in here with any info like a website etc.

While you're very enthusiastic about your "Calling", be careful about sharing with folks who don't share your beliefs. Folks in Alaska tend to be independent minded, and you wouldn't want to be disrespecting anyone.

Hi, my name is Rob and I am the new pastor of King Cove Bible Chapel in King Cove, Alaska. We arrived here on Valentine's Day. Our church, while non-denominational in name, is decidedly Baptistic in doctrine. We are the only church in this community of 800 folks. (Please visit our web site at kingcovebiblechapel.org.) If you have any questions, you may email me at ecclesiastes910@prodigy.net. 1 Corinthians 16:9
