Yeah that is the type that is there from what I can tell. It is proper sized for both I'm sure since they were both used here already for a couple of years. My biggest issue right now is do I need this special T or can I use just a standard one. I downloaded the owners/install manual from the website for the oil stove and it says a Barometric damper is not necessary in most applications but we may need a draft regulator in certain locations. This special T had that damper built in so I guess that answered my question for that. Now I am just trying to figure out if or how these 2 could be safely hooked together. My main time for using it will be when we aren't home and there will be no fire in the woodstove so,now I am wondering if I can just hook the thing up and not use it until there is no fire in the woodstove, and if that is possible will we have to worry about smoke coming out the pipe to the oil stove.

It's a safety hazard to connect two appliances to the same stove pipe. The reason why is because each appliance requires a specific stove pipe diameter.

Ok here is a picture of the set up when we first moved in,done some remodeling though so it looks a little better now,

They both use 5" pipe so that shouldn't be an issue. I think I am going to call that Wood place Monday and see what they say.

Is it possible to vent the oil stove separately?

Not really they kind of have to use the same stove pipe because there just isn't anywhere else that is safe to install the drip stove with new stove pipe. We have an upstairs and just about everywhere else would mean putting the stove pipe in the middle of one of my kids bedrooms and we all know how most teens bedrooms look, they would probably throw dirty clothes around it and burn the house down.

megensmom: you still should not use both units attached to the same stove pipe. When one unit is being used in such a pipe set-up any backdraft from above can push the exhaust down and through the unit that's not being used. This could fill the room with carbon monoxide.

However, you may be able to disconnect the stove pipe at the 90 above the wood stove, and connect the oil-drip stove to the 90 with another piece of pipe. In this case, only one unit is using the main stove pipe at a time. But connecting both units to the same pipe is very dangerous.

Ah didn't think about the backdaft. So even if both aren't running there could be a backdraft issue you think. I guess it would be possible to elbow off the stove pipe now when we are going to town and don't need the wood stove that way we don't have to worry about having to do a whole different stove pipe in essence they would share the same pipe just not at the same time.
