Default Son moving to Delta Junction alaska

My son is moving to Delta Junction Alaska as he recently graduated from college and has gotten a job involving his atmospheric science degree. We are from the midwest and do not have any idea what it is like in Delta Junction. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what kind of things would be useful for his residency there. We have inquired about things such as vehicle maintenance, clothing, etc. but would love to hear more so that we can make sure he has everything he needs!

Just imagine any of the thousands of REALLY SMALL, one stop-sign towns across rural America - only allot colder in winter.

Atmospheric Science degree in Delta? Is he going to be working with HAARP?

HAARP is in Gakona. Everyone there is now under my company's aegis. We have the O & M contract for the next 5 years.

Atmospheric degree...most likely for Fort Greely (Cold Regions Test Center or Space Command). Unless the local Russian population is doing science experiments...that would scare me except for the fact that mal might send little green my way if I cross him?

Begich's brother wrote a conspiracy book (supposedly non-fiction) about the HAARP project. It's title - "Angels Don't Play This HAARP".
