Yes. And a big surprise for us this week was heating fuel at $3.09 per gallon, which makes it cheaper than what I paid for fuel around March this year ($3.62). Also, we are saving a little on heating fuel by burning wood from 6:00 PM -11:00 PM during the week, and most times twice per day during the weekend.

Apples do grow in my area but not on a large scale. Most veggies do well like spuds, carrots, broccoli, cali, brussel sprouts, cabbage, peas, radish, onions, turnips, etc. I've never tried aspergas and I know sweet corn won't work. I also wish I could do watermelon but have never tried. I don't use a greenhouse (yet) and grow everything I listed above in an outdoor garden. Matter of fact I had a very good crop this year despite the cold and rain.
