However, there is a difference I must point out: In Alaska, more than likely, one has to travel a few miles to a supermarket, or to a fuel pump, or to a mall, etc. It means that there is a lot of wear added to the vehicle one drives, and a lot of drives to the gas pump to fill the tank. I drive my car 50 miles to work and back each day, fide days per week.

I got to see a re-run of the interview. I thought it was pretty good. Shows the family at home just being "Normal". A bit hokey, but it was OK. I preferred the radio interview on Sirius.

If one could be thoroughly exhausted from watching the telly or listening to the radio regarding this affair...I am that one. I had it on for a moment, waiting for House, and all I got from it was the woman wears entirely too much makeup, regardless if she's on the telly or no. Trite and shallow of me...but that's my opinion...
I could watch Hugh Laurie any time of the day instead

Before I came back out on the road to drive a truck again, I had a job that was almost 40 miles one way from home, so having to drive to work is no big deal.

The winter weather won't bother me a great deal. I've been dealing with winter weather for 22 years as a truck driver. I worry MORE about the people that THINK they can deal with it than I do my own ability to drive in it. I just pretend I'm an egg. It's goofy, but it works for me. As long as I don't have to drag race a moose, I'll do just fine!

I thought she had a bit too much war paint on myself! I very seldom wear make-up any more, unless it's a social occasion. My job makes it hard to keep "The Face" perfect every day.

I like "House" too!! Wish Hugh was MY doctor!!

Hope you've been well, H. Lady!! I peeked at your pictures!! WOW!! Loved ALL of 'em!!

I've started my "Alaska Escape Fund"----Making PLANS!!!

As I hope you've been. As Mal so eloquently stated, I was shaken, but never stirred last week...it was a bit of a thrill Now it is snowing for all hell...should make the drive to Anchorage interesting on the morrow.

I was driving in theis morning after dropping son#3 off at Dimond HS, and driving out towards Dimond Blvd (couldn't they have picked a different name!). A moose was crossing Arlene and had traffic (already slow) stopped in both directions. He was ENORMOUS. I swear he had to be 7 foot high.
