I don't think anyone knows quite what it means, with the possible exception of LT. It hurt too much to type those deliberately, so I copied a few to paste whenever I felt like it.

How about "caul?" Or maybe something simple minded like "rotund" or "rue?"
I love Scrabble but I think my vocab skills have taken a bit of a dive since moving to POW...I have absolutely no reason to bring out words like "analagous" or "imperative"--most folks here would just raise an eyebrow and say "WTF???"

I was covered in a rotund caul on birth, causing my mother to rue the day.

Whiskey tango foxtrot to the military, analagous to "What the hell?" - imperative in that usage due to the PC make-up of today's troops. LOL

Why not? Heavy seas always make for a more interesting cruise. You just have to watch out for pools of vomit in the corridors & out on deck.

Trust me, the ferry will run regardless. Rare turn-backs happen, but not so often. There's just the one nasty stretch in the crossing---but at 4:50 pm you get that loud, hard turn and everything's cool again. Yep, Bark, it's called a puke-day. Fun fun fun.
