Halloween
So who had the most trick or treaters?
I thought for sure that we'd have maybe 4 or 5 kids tops. But we had closer to 30! I'm glad that I didn't listen to my wife & bought 16lbs of candy.

We actually had 2! Problem was, I forgot it was trick-or-treat and I didn't realize the front porch light was on here in the rental we're staying at. When they came to do the door I gave 'em a hearty "Oh S**t!" and then gave 'em my left over candy from our road trip .
I wish I would have been on top of it, because we never got treaters at home.........

A few years ago, I had close to 300...that was a record for me. A gent who lives across and down the road from here noticed the outdoor decor and brought his granddaughter by so we could have at least one trick-o-treater. I loaded her up

Back when I lived in Kodiak, we weren't on a road so I took my kids into town, different areas each year. One year, one woman came running down the street to tell me my kids were the only ones who'd said 'thank you.'

We had 20 trick or treaters in a different sense. This little community really goes all out. Just about 90% of the town gets dressed up,and they give out treat bags full of stuff and lots of them have homemade goodies and drinks for the kids as well. Almost all the kids here traveled in groups because we had to drive to every house. The local restaurant/store The Steese Roadhouse threw this HUGE party and potluck for the kids. My 3 had a wonderful time as did all the kids I think. It was so great because you didn't have to worry about the normal stuff like you do when in the lower 48.

I left my cabin for halloween and went to a friends house. We got about 15 kids but then some older ones came by off their snow machines and almost cleaned me out! That wasnt fair for the little ones =/

Dang, we've been living here for the last ten years, and to date, we have had no kids in costume grace the front porch. Well,.......to be fair, this is a really small town, I live a ways off the road, kinda like a logging road and,... since it is a small town, every one understands just which dogs the "Beware of Dogs" signs pertain to. Drat..... that sign only refers to adults, the dogs do not trust other adults, my Shepherds are highly protective of children, would not hurt one for any cause, they are excellent babysitters. Various Hispanic families utilize this service about one Sunday a month, none of the Hispanics I know celebrate Halloween. Bummer!!!
