Wow...It looks like a great place to take up homesteading, even if there wasn't a lot of work. I can see why my brother loved it so much. Are these pictures of Klawock? I'd love so much to be able to come there to visit...just don't have any extra money at this time. In 4 more years, everything will be paid in full and maybe then I can visit Alaska. I've been wanting to for almost 10 years. Don't think that hunger's going to go away until I come there and see it for myself. Any more pictures would be great. I love seeing your state. I very seldom ever look at any of the others. I visit here everyday though. Thanks so much for giving me such beauty to look at first thing this morning. It's a great way to start the day.

Pamela

That is a sweet eagle picture. I see a highway in the one shot. Can you drive there? Or is it just a local paved road? I sure miss southeast AK...but I don't miss working on a fishing boat. I started that at age 13 and did not stop until mid 20's. I did get to see some nice country and critters...but I don't miss the long hours or the endless rocking and rolling in Cook Inlet, and Bristol Bay.

Thanks, my son took the picture of the eagle.

POW has a pretty good road system, and its a large island--third largest in the US I believe. Though I have to say that I miss long drives on the Parks and the Glenn Highway.

Man those are nice photo's...thanks for sharing. I just love this place called Alaska. Is that you in the last picture Lanesuzza? Wish I still had hair like that! And I'm a guy! I did for awhile, but the Army cut it off and it never quite grew back.

I do love the southeast. Rain and all. Heading to Glennallen and Valdez this coming week. Have a job lined up for a battery change at the Swan Lake Hydro facility this spring. Hoping to pick up a couple more at some of the state facilities in Juneau.
