In the interest of truth, I should let everyone know that she bribed me a little. She told me I could talk to my friend Jack when I got done. I'm having a great conversation with him right now.

'Write' now? Or do you perhaps mean 'right' now. Jack is potent this night The thing is...I would've gotten onto the ladder without bribery

Yes...the lights on the house are up. We have a couple ideas that we are knocking around, but with the ground frozen we aren't certain how we are going to manage that. Still have to finish the ground lights.

In Wyoming, the GG strung motion lights (white) down bales of hay to look like a waterfall, running down into a 'pond' (made of blue motion lights and surrounded by blue rope lights). We had our animated deer at the pond...then he threw his duck decoys in there for effect.

I was thinking of stringing single strands of white lights from the roof to the ground in a 'spray' fashion and the husband still wishes for his pond and deer.

I like the pond idea. It sounds nice. But hay is hard to come by there

He was thinking that the 'spray' could lead down into the pond (this all from the front corner of the home) and give somewhat an illusion of a waterfall. The thing is finding a way to attach to the frozen ground.

I do have to say, he came up with an ingenious idea for putting the lighted trees along the front with the ground too frozen to anchor the trees....he utilized plastic cups and water, freezing the stakes in place within the cup then attaching the trees to the stakes. Works well!

You could use metal tent stakes or gutter nails to anchor the lights to.
