dillingham schools
alright here is the deal, i am 15 years old and my dad moved up to Dillingham to work in the hospital. So me and my step-mom were thinking about moving up there this summer. I am totally fine with moving up there, because i am all in to doing out doors things. The only problem is ive gone to a really good private school my hole life, and im really nervous about going to a public school. So what i would like to know is if Dillingham Public schools have nice/friendly kids and good teachers.
If someone could anwser this for me that would be great.

When we moved from Anchorage to Nenana, our kids went from a large school of a couple hundred per class to a K through 12 school with about ten kids in each grade.
They got involved in the sports, not that they were any good at it, but they tried and fit in and did very well in the long run.
If you just go to school, go home and play the TV games, you will be sorely disappointed. But if you join other after school activities (if sports isn't your bag), you will make a lot of friends and really enjoy yourself. The school there is quite a bit bigger than Nenana, but a good one. The town is a bit spread out but a nice place to live and if you want to earn money working around the docks on the boats doing odd jobs, you will be kept pretty busy.
If you don't go, you will regret it as you get older... You already know what big city life is like, life is an adventure if you want it to be!
Good luck...

My parents told me this many years ago, treat others the way you want to be treated. I show most of the people I meet with respect. If they don't show it back, I won't either. Always keep an open mind when and if you move here. Don't expect to do the same things you do down there. Dillingham has no movie theaters and it's been a while since I've been there, not sure on arcades/hang outs either. Good luck!

ty warp, very good advice ill put it to use when i move up. And about the movie theaters and hangouts, heck with those i never even go to those here in Tulsa. I enjoy fishing, hunting, hiking, camping, and anything else i can think of.

Bethel and Dillingham are in south west Alaska. They are completely different though. Dillingham has trees and mountains around it. We are on tundra and there isn't many trees around unless you go up the river aways. Dillingham is the place for fishing and hunting, many places to fish and hunt at. You can drive out of town up to Aleknagik Lake and fish there and you have the Nushagak River, too.

Dillingham has a bunch of mountains. You can see them in the weather cam there.
