Default Outdoor showers and hauling water?

How do the outdoor showers work? Is there usually a well or do you haul the water and put it into a holding tank or both? Are we talking about cold showers or are there ways to heat the water?

Thanks again, Lynn

They make solar heated water bags that can be hung in the sun. There are water falls. Rain. You name it...we got it.

You'll need a large pot to heat water and fire of some sort, either a campfire or a kitchen stove. Heat up water in pot. I suggest heat about 3.5 to 4 gallons to almost boiling. Carefully, (I do speak from experience here! ) pour your heated water into a five gallon water jug with the remaining unheated water. Shake it up a bit, test the temp and elevate the jug just above head level (use shelf, tree, vehicle roof, strong armed person, etc...and open the spout. Remember to turn off the water flow when soaping up, washing hair etc.. or you'll run out of water. It works well if you shave your legs and other areas before you shower.
