Met, I will second that thanks for the election results & I have to laugh about the blender. I am thankful that I have the friends that I have, the family I have (even though sometimes I want to throttle certain members of it), I'm thankful I'm relatively healthy & I'm ever so happy that you guys still welcome me on this forum, thanks guys! Oh wait, I'm thankful that my cat Simba still loves me the most as I love her the most....however, I am NOT thankful that I don't have a special someone to fill my time with

I'm thankful for the fact that I have more things to be thankful for than I can count. May you all be blessed with full hearts and full bellys, especially during this time of reflection

My list is too long. But it starts with thanking you Hanna...for being a very special friend.

Let's see......the first time I voted it was in 68, I was 21, back in the earlier sixies, I never thought I would live to see 25, I had resigned myself that I wouldn't.....surely took me by surprize. I am grateful for the journey, in the years, the only continent upon which I have not set my feet is Antarctica. I loved W. Africa, C. and S. America, thought Europe was severly overrated (never made it to Sweden though, but have heard it would be worth the trip) Needed more time in Australia and New Zealand, I may make it back yet- am also figuring how to be back in Alaska, the air there has a unique aroma, loved it! I am thankful for the people I have met along the way, really nice folks- there are always a few jerks anywhere you go, the trick is seeing what they are before you get hooked into something. I am grateful for my friends, many have seen me through some really rough times, both moral support and immoral support- there are time when both are necessary, and much appreciated. I have been lucky enough to have friends with senses of humor, and have lived longer than I should have, a lot longer than some though possible. I am grateful for the little surprizes that make up a full life.

I am thankful for my loving husband and our wonderful children, for whom I would not be able to breathe, if I did not have them in my life. I'm thankful for my family and my friends and my new friends here on this forum...it sure stays interesting.

I hope you all have a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving

And then there's the original Catholic Grace.

"Bless us, Oh Lord, and these, Thy gifts, which we are about to receive from Thy bounty, Amen."

"Everybody say Grace!"
