Wanting to fly to Anchorage
Ok I have decided that I want to fly down to Anchorage for a weekend of shopping with my daughter. I am flexable on dates but perfer march or april and it must be on a weekend. I would like to leave Fairbanks on a Friday and return Sunday evening.
How do I find the cheap deals? do I wait till closer for me to travel and hope for a last minute deal?
I have an old ticket that I am going to transfer for myself but I need one for my daughter. I don't have enough air miles to cover the ticket so I need to look for other options.

Three Choices:
Era Aviation
Alaska Airlines / Horizon Air
Frontier Alaska
On Alaska click on Web specials
on Frontier click on Specials
On ERA click on specials.

Alaska has a "fair calender" on their site you can pick the days you want to fly and find the cheapest rates.

From what I am finding it looks like Alaska air is the cheapest. $221 per person round trip. Someone was telling me the fairs were only like $100 round trip if it was intra-state but I haven't found any fairs like that. Even using the calanders and checking the full month.

$221? That's like flying from Charlotte to LA.

Another option is to try Craiglist under tickets. I don't know anything about it but there are usually some companion tickets for sale in there. Might be able to pick on up cheap...

MM - I think the 221.00 RT is the lowest they go...I put in a bunch of combos and looked at the monthly rates also, and $101 one way seems to be standard
