Well, winter for southern California! And a lot colder than the 105 degree temps here last summer.

Well, as I was told as a child, "One man's trash is another man's treasure." If everyone could deal with the winter, we'd be as crowded as California. Kitty, I can feel your frustration with winter, and if it has gotten to be too much, it might not be all in your mind. It could be physically debilitating for you.

Make your move and I wish you the best of luck. But, remember, some of us think Alaska actually comes alive in the winter. It's not all hibernation and indoors for all of us.

Finally it's warming up a little. The temperature was -39 degrees when I took this photos at the Safeway parking lot in North Pole while I waited for my wife.

The sort of blue color light in the horizon (the first photo) is the moon. I was sitting in our truck, and the full moon was shining, so I thought it was kind of interesting.
