Default Question about Employment in Alaska

Is there a Starquist plant in Alaska. Can you give me some information about working there? I'm curious about the pay, hours and working conditions. Is it a good company to work for? Do they hire frequently? Thanks.

The Starkist guys come up every summer to go fishing (for sport)---I think they're from Oregon. Or Washington. Possibly California. One of those, anyway. Nice group. But definitely from down south somewhere.

From what I recall offhand, Starkist is a part of Del Monte these days. Tuna's a warm water fish and I don't think they even fish for Northern Pacific Albacore in AK--they do in Can. I believe. Don't think there's any tuna plants around, sorry. You could probably get a job in a salmon cannery.

I'm sorry. I was mistaken. The company I'm referring to is Trident Seafoods. Does that ring a bell to any of you locals?

Yeah, it does, we deal with them some.

I have no idea of what they are like to work for but this link tells a little about what jobs they have, etc.
