AK w/alot of earthquakes?
Alaska Region
We're in the dead zone if Yellowstone erupts and w/all the activity the past week we're a bit uhhhmmmm edgy LOL (actually thinking about moving up our move date...
We live in Park Co so we are only 45 minutes from the entrance and about 2.25 hrs from where a bulk of the activity is going on. An
we won't suffer if she goes. We'd go out pretty quick..
but anyway found the site above and we see AK recent has been hit by a bunch of small earthquakes. Is this normal?

It'd be abnormal if there weren't earthquakes in AK.

Yes.
Earthquakes and Alaska are synonymous. We have the biggest and best and invite all of our outside friends and relatives to partake! LOL.
Largest Earthquakes in the United States
7 of the last 10 strongest (or worst) earthquakes in the US have been in Alaska. As far as volcanoes, 2-3 months ago, 3 separate volcanoes in Alaska (I think 2 were in the Aleutians) were "testing the waters", or just venting a little steam. Personally, I think the pair in the Aleutians were ticked at each other and had to vent.

What I liked about this, is you can click on one of the little boxes on the map or just somewhere in the info and it tells how far from major places it was...

I haven't been through a earthquake in many years (grew up and lived most of my life in NorCal so we were so used to them it didn't phase us) so now w/all this talk of them and sooooo close to us from a super volcano it's a bit much
Our boss already told us that if Yellowstone goes that the game plan through our town is for everyone to head north (thank go we all have our passports LOL)
