I know that has nothing to do with traffic but I feel better now

Yep, welcome to Alaska. That is one of the downsides. People seem to think they can drive the same speed in all weather conditions and that their vehicle is ditch-proof. And you can certainly see that they are.

Is there any formula for how many times a vehicle can rollover once it hits the ditch?

Depends on how deep the ditch is and how fast the idiot was driving.

Because people think that 4 wheel drive means invincible. That no matter the conditions "I can drive like a lunatic becuase I have 4 wheel drive and that 4 wheels gripping means there is no way that I will go into the ditch" Zoooom.... 60 mph past me on the interstate they go in road conditions for 25, I wave and hope to see them in the ditch later. Does that make me a bad person?

I've seen the same sort of behavior down here in the bumps we call mountains. Inevitably you'll see that little red pickup 1/2 mile down the road wrapped around a tree, in the ditch or smashed into another person.

Everyone complains about people driving too fast for the road conditions, but what about those who creep along at 40 mph or slower when road conditions allow for normal speeds? Or my personal favorite; those who are driving the speed limit approaching a fog bank on the Knik bridge, and just as they enter the fog they slam on their brakes. They are just as much of a road hazard as those driving too fast for the conditions.
Today on the way into Anchorage I came across someone driving 40 mph in the left-hand lane on the Palmer Flats. Road conditions were such that the rest of the traffic was driving at the normal posted speed limits. Since he refused to pull into the right lane, everyone was hitting their brakes and jockeying to move around the idiot. This caused several close calls, and he was by no means the exception.
Two rules Alaskans commonly seem to forget are: - If you are driving slower than the posted speed limit and there is traffic behind you, STAY OUT OF THE LEFT LANE!
- When merging on to any highway, always match the speed of the existing traffic.
When the idiots enter the Glenn Highway from the south Eagle River on-ramp, they are doing 25 mph and trying to merge with traffic doing 65 mph. I'm absolutely convinced that Eagle River is reserved exclusively for those who have no utterly clue how to drive.
