Default Alaska Pictures?

So....you are thinking of moving to Alaska, but wonder what the city you have in mind actually looks like? If a picture is worth a 1000 words, then a video clip from that area would be really good...if you can find one. Here's one way to do that, that I didn't think of, until recently: www.youtube.com
When you get to their splash page, click on "search" and hit enter. Then type in the name of the city you are interested in. If there are any video clips of that area, the search will find them. This will work for any state or place, not just Alaska, and the clips are mostly amateurish...but will give you some idea. Yes, there is some garbage on that site, but there is good stuff too. Good luck!

Bud

Nope. Not in the past, not now, not in the future. Like the internet, it is a tool that becomes what we make of it, whether for good, or for bad. I look for the good in things, and toss out what's left. It's like a pile of dirt in the mountains...to most it's worthless. Then somebody comes along and finds a gold nugget hidden in it...

I found some nice pics and videos on the Alaska State Trooper site.
http://www.dps.state.ak.us/ast/recruit/gallery/gallery.htm (broken link) has some cool shots of the officers and scenery.

That is a cool way to check out places!...you're right though sometimes the videos on there are goofy. Thanks for passing on the info!

Yes...it is me. My good side! Just a few miles from my house in Sterling. That is over looking Skilak Lake from Bear Mountain.
