How exciting and frightening at the same time! We will all send you many prayers and keep you in our thoughts. And we'll ask for the wind and the god of the volcanoes to send the plume and the ash way high over your heads and straight to that dude in Russia who is hankerin' to take y'all back. OK - I'm picturing the whole lot of it dumping into his office...

Agreed. But only if we get sunny days on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Where's the pictures?
I heard on the radio that she was venting steam and ash and now I can't wait for some closeup shots.
I know, patience is a virtue (but I've never been that virtuous!)

The Alaska Volcano Observatory has lowered the Aviation Color Code to YELLOW and the Alert Level to Advisory for Mount Redoubt.
AVO will continue to monitor Redoubt closely, but will no longer be formally staffed 24 hours per day.
This will be the last hourly (or bi-hourly) update until further notice.

Just went out and noticed that the Volcano is steaming again. It was quiet all day, I was keeping an eye on it at the office, but now the steam plume is back again.
