I'm a NOAA spotter, and got a call around 11am asking if I had seen any ash in Wasilla. Told him no, he went on to say that they do expect, and have reports, of ash in Willow north through Talkeetna.

I thought I spotted a NOAA once, but I was mistaken. You really have to sneak up on them in order to surprise them. A good trick for flushing out the ellusive NOAA is to imitate their mating cry: "Get more federal funding here..." That always gets them running in the open so you can easily pick them off.

Kind of like hunting snipe.

Remember everyone Ash is spelled with a H, not 2 SS

the national weather service in anchorage has cancelled the
ashfall advisory.

Since there have been no further eruptions today no new ashfall is expected.

Redoubt at noon. If you squint you can see some faint mountain bases. Windy as all get out in Kenai...but blowing toward Redoubt.
Cloudy day

Clear day
