Yup...don't remember how much, but for just a few days, or week...different price..., and when you figure what they pay for everything else, that license is a pittance..,and not bad for what you can get here in my book...watch the tide book as to when supposed to be biting, pay and reap the fish...,or buy another and find another person to go with...

I'd have to look again, but I purchased two-week long licenses at a time when I fished; usually fished when the husband was off the slopes. Non-resident, two-week license was around $80.

Yep, $80 for 14 days. The price of an annual fishing license for a non-resident is $145.

License Pricing: Division of Administrative Services - Alaska Department of Fish and Game

Also, Alaskan residents 65 years old or older, get a free hunting and fishing license for the rest of their life (tags and stamps they have to pay for).

Even worse for a combination hunting/trapping license (no other way to get a non-res. trapping license)...$250, and it expires the end of the year you buy it.

The lying part should be when they start telling how big the fish that they caught were.

The non Residence licenses for a ten to fourteen day tag or so, aren't that much for the hassel and not worth lying about either.

Like this one where the guys fish was only half the size he claimed it was......

I'm staying through July, maybe longer, and I'm told the salmon start running in May sometime. Guess I'll be buying an annual license. $145. isn't too bad when I see the alternative could be!!

I may do the two-week non-resident license here and there until June 5th. Watch out then...I will be an official resident!
