I think I was on the furthest out beach cleaing crew in Chignik. We hiked a lot of beaches and did find some oil, but not a lot. Saw lots of bears and lots of beaches though.

Katmai is bear central. Also volcano central now that I think of it. I've picked up some great agates on that side.

Yeah, it came in and settled on the Beach. I had about 500 workers in the Halo Bay area to start with. The sand would pull back over the oil and be a bit hard to find, but it was enought to keep busy all summer.

Can post some photos later on in a different thread.
