Wasilla, AK
I was considering moving to Wasilla, and I just had a few questions.
1. What is there to do? Movie theaters, pools, skating arenas, anything?
2. What's the community like? How are the schools?
3. Are there any music/drama programs where they put on plays and such?
4. What's the weather like? Is there snow all year round?

Schools are decent, but I live in Anchorage, 40 miles away. Snow is usually gone by mid to late Aoril, temps in June July are 60's. Sometimes even upper 70's. Rarely into the lower 80's. Check with Mat-Su school district on programs, but if like ANC schools yes, they do have drama and music programs.
Small town, limited shopping, etc.

1. There is one movie theater that is so old and nasty and overpriced most people drive to the one Eagle River (30 min drive). Almost every movie goes off the screen because it isn't full wide screen. There are skating arenas. Other than that...fishing, hunting, hiking, atving, snow mobiling, sledding, snow boarding, skiing.
2. It's a small town with the major box stores (Sears, Walmart, Target, Fred Meyers, Mc Donalds, KFC, Pizza Hut etc). You run into the same people while grocery shopping. It's a growing area, but once again still small. The best schools in my opinion would be the Colony Schools.
3. I don't know, there probally is, but it's nothing worth watching unless you have friends acting or if you are acting.
4. Weather.com -> type Anchorage -> click Averages. Wasilla has basically the same type of weather as Anchorage. Summer - very long days. Winter - Very short days. Summer - rain/clouds/sun. Winter: snow/frost

Can I ask why you are thinking of Wasilla?

Yes, there is snow all year round, but in the summer they might only get a couple of feet.

Rockstar- go to the search function at the top of this page in the blue bar. Type in " Wasilla"-- there are about 50 threads here with probably everything you'd ever want to know, including info about its most famous resident. (Yes, Nephler, that would be Bristol... )

My dad is moving there and I didn't know whether to stay with my mom in Oregon or leave. I've been researching, and I just wanted to know everything possible until I made my decision. Nothing big... Just curiosity.

Well, if you're still in school, you could consider spending the summers with your dad and the school year with your mom.
