The bickering reinforces her opinion.

What? So are you saying that all the people in the lower 48 bicker with each other incessantly and only the people that want to get away from that move to Alaska? That sounds like a good thing. I've never met any bickerers in Alaska. But I'm not a Baptist either. Maybe that's where the Bickers hang out at.

No I'm saying all the lower 48 people who did relocate to Alaska were the misfits who bickered in the lower 48.
If the shoe fits...................

I relocated from the lower 48 and I'm not a misfit, nor do I bicker with anyone. So saying "all the people" is not accurate.

This old wife sounds cranky . I feel bad for the retired carpenter friend. He should have stayed up here and he would have been happier. The first rule of marriage up here is if your wife wants to move away from Alaska, you tell her see ya later and you'll try to visit her once in a while and wish her the best.

You can find other women. But there's no place like Alaska.

Do you always belittle people for asking a question? Even though that question was answered a couple of posts up. I was excited to find this site and posed the question before I read all of the posts. In the future, when I hear about anyone wanting to move to or visit Alaska. I will recommend that they do not come to your town.
Please them not to come to mine as well.

meh...I'm just engaging you in conversation. You are asking about free land in a thread that is YEARs old.
I'm quite helpful, and love helping teachers find employment in AK.

I do apologize for offering you some advise, but apparently you don't need it. My offer stands, if you want to gain employment in AK, PM me, and I will share what I know.

AK is the largest small town in America.

Most people who actually relocate to Alaska from the -48 do so because of jobs or because of the military.
