You should do that, and look us up when you do.

That has been the case in many instances with the Kansas land deals. People move out then don't have the resources or the inclination to get the home built within the alloted time. The difference I see here is your community allows this venture to be for second homes/vacation properties, which gives people more flexibility.

Free Land
Hi there,
My husband and I first fell in love with Alaska 15 years ago on our honeymoon and have since been back twice. We'd love to get more information as to the requirements of obtain one of the 1.3 acre lots. We can't go there right now, but would like to contact those in charge of this.
Can you forward any contact information to me at:
cveikins@pnwtlaneco.com
I work for Pacific Northwest Title Company, which has many office in Alaska that I could transfer to also. How far are you from one of the office...if you know.
Thank you so much for your time.

Interested!
My name is Sabrina and I'm from PA.
A buddy of mine has a friend in AK (I can not remember the name of the town for the life of me) he was telling my soon to be husband and I that there is free or cheap land to be had in AK.
The one that he menttion of was $100 for a parcel of land. It was in a very vacant area, I think near Anchorage.
We all are very interested in takingup an offer like this and willing to have a nice plot of land and a house and be residents of AK.
How does one go about this?
I know we need to fly out and all but???
We'd need jobs as well.
Thank you for any help!!

What your friend is probably talking about requires Alaska residency. Imagine that.
He's talking about state parcels. They aren't $100; that's just what you pay initially when you fill out the application.
So you go about it by living here for over a year or more.

A nice offer is you have a lot of capital to spend on a house. The land is low lying. If you want to spend a lot of money and have nothing to do after it is built then great. Not many jobs around at all. Very cold winters -50's and little day light. Very expensive place to live. Lot's and lot's of bugs during the summer as well.

Not me, but this is amazing.
