Wink Very Confused

I am confued about this site I can never find out where my post went..... Also I can't figure out who said what when? I spend more time reading old posts LOL when I finally look up and see the date of the post it is a few months ago.
Could someone please explain it to me.

When I come on the site I go to Alaska then I click on a thread then it gets really confusing.

Thanks,

Shyeeyore

Here the newest replies are on the last page listed (or if following a thread and want to pick up where you were last) click on the blue box with the check mark right before it on the left side.

Actually that is an option setting, and what you describe is the default. Click on My_Settings, then on Edit_Options. Or you can use this URL
http://www.city-data.com/forum/profi...do=editoptions
Scroll down a bit to the Thread_Display_Mode options, and you have a choice of:
  • Linear - Oldest First
  • Linear - Newest First
  • Threaded
  • Hybrid

I use "Linear - Newest First" which I find much much preferable to the others. (I'm also simply astounded that the software developers for this particular forum software are so unaware of how to properly design a user interface, but...)
