But they are suppose to be endangered, and not that many around....
Now you are starting to sound like me, the voice of common sense, they are all over and not endangered.... Way to go!!!

Nobody has claimed they are supposed to be endangered, and no one has said there are not many around... except for one very unreliable source (you).
One might also note that being endangered would not mean that none of them can be found. Endangered does not mean extinct. Bowhead whales are endangered, but we don't seem to lack the ability to find enough of the them.
Of course all of that is just common sense and logic.

The term "Endangered" means emanate possibility of extinction... They are not, and it was you that kept saying they were.... When in fact I kept posting photos of each one or two different ones we saw every day. It was the environmentalist trying to stop oil exploration, not the care of the Polar bears they were/are interested in as you stated in your posts also.
The fact that the ice has receded some, they handle very well, and as I stated, even after a sixty mile swim (some with Cubs), they were very fat and in pretty good shape. When the cooler cycles set back in, they will still be doing just fine.
They aren't endangered, they were in the late 50's and 60's due to over hunting, they have since recovered very well due to hunting restrictions which is still in effect.
Amazing how you changed your song from no bears around to all over the place.... Common sense must have creeped in there somewhere!
Way to go!

Why is it necessary for you to fabricate statements like that? I have never said any such thing.
The only one here who repeatedly claims that is you.

Common sense would tell you that fabricating fantasies and ascribing them to other people is a bit of dishonesty that most people do not appreciate. You do it all the time, and it is disgusting.

Not crawling into a bears den is a good practice in northern Alaska.

It has tapered off some, but that was a pretty big practice for guys doing that to kill black bears to sell it's gall blatter to the Koreans for some kind of "Viagra"... It paid very well and it still goes on though...
Not a practice I would think would be very healthy in the event the bear was "Resting" and not "Sleeping"....

Well, more of your imagination running wild, eh?
In fact, denning black bears is the traditional way to hunt them in most of the Interior, because it is easy and safe. In other words, it put food on the table.

This is one of the dozens of stories about a bunch of cases on killing bears for illegal parts trade. Here in interior Alaska, I know of a bunch of people that have been doing that for years, and I "Assume" they have quit, a lot of them were caught and put in jail or fined very heavily.
