Last thing I wanted to see before,,,
moving up.
an empty safe.
Well there goes the summer move.
About a month and a half ago a "friend" went through some hard times, lost her apartment, tried to commit suicide, rolled her car and ended up in jail. Yep, I got the call, spoke to red for two days and decided to pop the dough down to get her out, take her into our house and help her get back on her feet. She did not lose her job (union) so I thought there might be hope for her. (Hey, jobs are hard to find these days) Now when she get's here, she's Flat ass broke. Find out she has not worked a day since December. WTF, since December?
Told her a couple of conditions before she moved in.
1. No DRINKING
2. Don't go in my MAN CAVE when I'm not home.
3. If you need it, just ask me for it.
4. Don't lie to me.
,,and the 5th and final rule which I thought all our mommies taught us,,,
Please don't pick up something of mine because I left it out in my MAN CAVE work/play area and put it in yer pocket.
5.Don't steal from me.
Well now. After being here and getting the dogs adjusted to her, running her around L.A. for Dr.'s, court, Disability OFFICE, paying for her daily pack and a half of Marlboro Mediums and feeding her,,,,,
I thought I heard something last night,,,,
In the garage,,,
I should have grabbed both Hope and Faith and ran out there blasting and blazing,,,,
Red says, probably one of those coons, let it go,,,,
Woke up this morning and our "friend" was gone,,,,
and this is what she left me,,,
yep, opened and emptied, 870, 1895ss, coupla browning .22's, my .338 Lap and my Black rifle and my M-14.
Plus a **** load of silver bullion and some gold, 18k in cash.
Friends.
It ain't my enemies that worry me. It's my fricking friends.
LEO showed up, dusted it, took the report and on the way out, wished me happy hunting.
I've always tried to help people less fortunate than us. But I'm getting burned out on the human race. Seems like it's a nation of TAKERS. From the top all the way to the bottom.
Where is the America I got shot, stabbed and blown up for? I spent 30 in the Corps protecting dumb****s like this.

Ok....not that these are bad conditions at all, but...the fact that you felt you had to make them conditions at all indicates that you were aware from the beginning that this woman is a train wreck.
You shouldn't have to tell so called friends not to lie and steal from you; it should be a given. Making no drinking a condition indicates that she has a drinking problem; otherwise you wouldn't have had to say that.
I'm very sorry for your experience. It is clear that you are a very decent man.
I think that types such as this woman have a radar of sorts.
At least she's gone.

Yes, we knew she was a wreck. She had nowhere else to turn and now I understand why.
I ask all that come to my HOME to please not drink. Some I tell.
I have a problem with Booze, I don't like how it affects people. People NEVER bring booze or beer on my boat.
And just like when I lived at Mommies and Daddy's house I had to live under their rules. I like to keep the rules clear and well defined so any moron can understand em.
