Well...maybe being far away from California?
I do like the firearms ownership freedoms we enjoy up here, hunting, photography, and best of all, I can dress casual, or any way I want (not naked, of course).

Top 100 Things I Love About Living in Alaska
good read ^^
for me it's the snow, scenery, nicest people in the world and wildlife.
for others it might be the fishing, low population, lots of land to buy and hundreds of other things...keep it a secret though.

My biggest daily perk is that I don't have any neckties in AK.
I go to work in jeans or whatever makes me most comfortable.
Other than that, it's the great people and loads of open land.
Can't do beter in my opinion.
