Hey- anyone out there got that GPS tracker? I'm not about to shell out $20 for it at this point.
I'm in Koyuk, if anyone could tell me when Mackey is expected in/how close he is now, I'd appreciate it! It's -30 so I'd prefer not to go stand out there now and wait for hours!

are there planes flying along with them? A bunch of people flew in yesterday already (landing at the airport, not on the ice, though- I haven't seen that happen before, but I've only been here since August)
I'm getting nervous that I'll miss it! I saw some guy setting up a camera a few minutes ago. Wish I had a window facing the water!
Hope you're right! When the planes land, does that mean he'll be RIGHT behind them and I'll need to rush and get my camera, or do they come a little ahead of time?

Watch for helicopters, too. I'm sure when everyone starts moving around in the village he'll be there. We are counting on you for photos there!

aha. asked a friend- it's being broadcast over vhf. mackey was 12 miles out as of 10am. Should be in between 11-11:30.
And yes, right now I'm hearing lots of planes.
how exciting!

haha.. vhf's. even the 3-year-olds round here know how to use em!
But anyways, Mackey is in now. No helicopters- the planes landed up at airport. Got some great photos, and I'll send them out tonight.. after my camera thaws 
Boy, it's cold out there. -30 wind chill and a terrible ice fog over Norton Bay.. seemed like it slowed him down a bit.
I'll probably be back out this afternoon when King gets in. |

I see that Mackey is sitting in Koyuk as is the trail breaker. There's Schnuelle out on the sound and King and Seavey are behind that guy. Let me know if Mackey starts moving.
