The wood that forms the frame for your home? All of these things and more actually have some use and come from this state. And we are much better at maintaining the state of this state than others in our union. We only have access to less than 10% to "exploit" for you. The rest is designated as state and federal lands for national and state parks. Most of the state of Alaska is put into a land trust. Unlike the lower 48. We seem to be maintaining even the lands that we have been taking things from better than most of the states outside.

All this is easily checked. Please feel free. The internet is open to all, even those with a closed mind.
You are off topic, but let me give you a history lesson about your state! Thousands of miners were drawn to Alaska in the early 1890's due to the Gold Rush. So here we have greed which brought man here. As it always does! Alaska was not granted territorial status until 1912. The 1968 discovery of oil at Prudhoe Bay and the 1977 completion of the Trans-Alaska Pipeline led to an oil boom. In 1989, the Exxon Valdez hit a reef in the Prince William Sound, spilling between 11 and 35 million US gallons (42,000 and 130,000 m³) of crude oil over 1,100 miles (1,600 km) of coastline. Today, the battle between philosophies of development and conservation is seen in the contentious debate over oil drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. So many of the people who have settled in Alaska to enjoy the thrill of the hunt, hopefully it will be stopped someday! It is all for greed in the end! This was just to educate you a little, otherwise please stay on topic!

What?

A hypocrite is someone who says one thing but believes or does another. Hippocrates was that old Greek guy who invented modern medicine. Are you saying we are all Doctors?

Another one loses all credibility...

Again, there is no reason for this, you chose to live there, so now wild animals are killed. This just puts them on the endangered list eventually due to the stupidity and greed of man. You guys chose to live theer and have to hunt for your food because you enjoy the kill! Alaska draws mostly hunters!

Excuse me...as I read this you would not move onto land not already inhabited...was your community there for how long now, at one point where you live was inhabited by animals that were moved out so people could live there...or does this take the guilt away from you to put on someone who built there initially,...I guess in my book is called guilt by association...and you are irrationally throwing words you know nothing about...not everyone in Alaska runs with knives and guns killing everything in their way...you make some really blatant and uneducated assumptions.
