Just beautiful!!! I love the glacier. I guess Photobucket has been having a lot of problems lately. It blocked out all the pix in my account, they had me re-name it and all my stuff reappeared, but now all the pix I ever posted won't show as the link has changed. Hopefully that hasn't happened to you too!!

Grandma'scabin...your photos are lovely, thank you for posting them.

Starlite--just wow. That's my favorite part as well. That photo of the mountain by your lake looks kind of like a place I always used to stop on the Parks.

Well I don't live there....yet, I do spend a lot of time there though, mostly getting it fixed up to possibly move there someday. I really love the fall when the massive amounts of migratory birds close in on the pass when headed South.

Watching the moose come down to the lake to feed on the vegetation is always a treat.

I'm down in Anchorage for a few weeks, then headed back up home to haul some more pipe and other stuff out to the cabin by snowmachine before the rivers go out and flying is the only access.

Oh, I'm sorry I thought you had said that you had a cabin on the lake there. My apologies. Regardless, when you do move there, it's beautiful. I don't see places like that here....I mean, lakes that don't have gigantic McMansions surrounding them spewing filth into the water. That is truly a treat to see such a pristine area. You are very lucky. And to see moose & all of that....I'd be jumping up & down like a kid all the time "Oooooh Ooooh Oooh, did you see that????" Yeah, it'd be nice.

Gotta agree with Rance. There are dozens (if not hundreds) of really great places in the state. I really love the Kenai Peninsula though...not too cold...and lots of great beautiful scenery. And we are on the road system...we can drive to other great spots...

It's awesome the pics I've seen so far. If you & anyone else have more to share on this thread, that would be nice.

Yeah, I do have a cabin on the lake there, just don't live there full time yet...
