Macanudo is on a distinguished road
Ron was in Fairbanks for a concert in February of 2006. Not exactly a good time for an outsider to be in Fairbanks.

Ron White is nothing more than a comedian, and that's how I take him.

Default He can stay home

Ron White, whoever he cause I don't know, is free to bash Fairbanks if he wants to. We don't have to look very far at all to find FBX Bashers.

If Mr. White found my town boring and dull, well he just isn't getting the picture. Most of the people here like it here obviously, something brought us here and if we wanted the city lifestyle (IE more things "to do", more culture, entertainment, etc.) we could go anywhere down south.

And if he was insulting Alaskan Natives, I know I don't have any use for him, he can stay elsewhere.

I've never even heard of him. Sounds like no one I would want to be associated with.

I think he stepped out onto the street and discovered he was an amateur, when it came to story telling or being a functioning alcoholic. Some of the folks in town have it down to an artform. Being rude and a bit of an As* didn't help him either.

You know....I can't tell you how many people, when you mention Alaska to them, whether it's Anchorage, Fairbanks, just the state in general, come up with the most stupid comments. Usually something like "I was in ANchorage once and there's nothing there" or "Isn't Alaska full of polar bears and icebergs?" You get the drift. To me, these types aren't open to anything outside their comfy, familiar, big city, big box, consumer experiences. I take these comments with a grain of salt, visit on my own, and make my own determination. Alaska isn't for everybody, and thank whatever gods may be for that, otherwise, every idiot would be up there making it just like the madness from where they came.

Never ever tell anyone that you are from Alaska when you are flying somewhere, especially on a red eye flight, you can never get them to shut up! I don't care what people think of this state, its home sweet home. He's one of my favorite comedians though.
