I have read most of Samuel Clemens' work!.."Roughing It, Life on the Mississippi, Letters from the Earth, Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court, Mysterious Stranger." He was really one of my faves...got turned onto him in grad school. We only read "Huck Finn" in one of my lit classes, but I was always checking out his other stuff. Got a pretty good collection myself. I like his voice, wit, satire, etc.

Yeah, I guess you could say that, according to my rain bucket (straight walled, I empty it after each rain) we got 2.5 inches in about 4 hours. Can't complain, my garden died last year with drought, got tomatos for almost a week before all dried up. Got only 5 watermelons and 6 cantelope, no pumpkins, no corn, if there were any potatos we couldn't get them out of the ground. Very little squash, the okra and peppers did fairly well, considering, below average, but a lot better than the other stuff, fewer than 8 cucumbers. Back last fall we were at -24inches of rain, or, two feet below average on our annual rainfall, this winter we have made up a lot of it. I had to wait for the first real rain to turn the garden over, otherwise, all my topsoil would have blown away, also it would have been like tilling bricks.

Ron White is still the man!
YES, Ron White is right. Ive been stationed at Ft. Wainwright up in Fairbanks for almost two years and FAIRBANKS SUCKS. It is by far the worst city I have ever been to. The "natives" walk the streets drunk as hell, the locals are about as ignorant and rude as anyone can get, and the cold is unbearable. Ron White was correct about everything he said. Unfortunately
I'm deployed or would have went to the show. RON WHITE you're still the man!

I would agree , Fairbanks appeals to a different sort of folk..... Anchorage could be almost anywhere in the Country , not a lot of difference from other big cities. The shining star in Fairbanks , is the University , thats about it...........but , thats just my opinion.

$14? Sounds like a nice deal. I'm still trying to figure out if the new 40 round mags are a good deal or not. The Beta C drums are great too but they are damn heavy. Safe passage to you brother.
