Is Ron White right?
I was watching a Blue Collar comedy thing yesterday and one of the comedians, Ron White, was bashing Alaska; seems he got stuck in Fairbanks for 3 days while traveling (he did a gig in Anchorage, too) and thought it was the most boring place in the world. He also decided to bash the Alaskan natives as a group...
Now I've enjoyed Ron White's comedy but I was pretty turned off...and I'm not the ultra-sensitive politically correct type, either! Guess ol' Ron must be quite the life of the party if he couldn't find anything to do in Fairbanks...or maybe you residents there find it just as dull??? I'd be interested to know if anyone from Ancorage/Frbnks caught Ron's act or saw his standup where he was knockin the cities.

Isn't he dead now? Seems like I heard he died last year. I always liked his stuff and fortunately I missed that particular show. Personally I have more Indian/native friends than white black red or yellow.

Wow, did he die? Well, he was a self-professed heavy drinker and smoker so it wouldn't surprise me...
Doesn't it just s**ck when someone you think you respect or at least enjoy watching or listening to disappoints you? Ah well. Ce la vie.
Hey...what are those blue clouds doing there? And that big yellow thing in the sky...I forgot what it's called, but it's back...and there are whales in the harbor!

The whales are coming? I should make a reservation and do a glacier cruise/whale watch trip. Thanks for the heads up!

Ya, saw 4 or 5 humpacks in close. matter of fact, Saturday night was real calm and still and we could hear them breathing/moaning on the surface. That must mean herring is coming in...seabirds are going nuts, too!

Anchorage
I spent a few weeks in Alaska two years ago, and , fell in love with the place !
If only I were younger , I would be on the first boat to Anchorage. What a wonderful city ! Just the right combo, the wilderness is close by , and yet , a city with most everything you need also. Perfect !...........however , If I were younger , and Canadian , I would pick Yellowknife, that , is my kinda place bar nun !!

He is not dead yet but people take things that relate to themselves to seriously. People need to learn to laugh at themselves.
