How come Haines & Skagway does not support fast food companies?

Haines is so awesome. Great local establishments, you probably wouldn't recognize any of the signs except the local IGA.

Skagway only has a handful of businesses that stay open year round. There's a story that when the McDonalds opened in Juneau the town of SGWY chartered a flight to bring 500 bit macs to town.
