Well Rance, it has been a while since I have been on. So catch me up, which island is this on? Will this be your primary residence or your "summer home"? My in-laws have a log home they built log by log. I don't know the technical term but maybe something like hand turned or hand peeled? I developed a great respect for the art of building log homes after looking through the photos of the whole process.
