And I've missed you friend. I really liked S. Dakota when we were there earlier this year. Too bad I can't talk hubby into moving into the Black Hills.

You look great and hubby is handsome!

It is ironically funny how life can twist and meander into ways unexpected. And amazing what can happen when one loses the burden/garbage in a life not wanted. Thank you for the compliment...I feel much better.
And thank you...the man is all I could ask for.

Thank you, Bonnie. Yes, She became a part of me and I will return to show the husband as he's never seen it. Not to live, mind...but to visit.

And Pat...when I went to my father's, he lived in the gateway of the Hills. I live in the central region now - the prairie and plains are my view. There are bluffs with the Missouri flowing right by, but it is a complete 180º from Alaska!! I often go to the Hills, we camp there a lot and hike...explore for all the old ghost towns (there are hundreds!).

That has got to be awesome. The Hills definitely have a very spiritual feel to them.

Yes, that they do...one never feels alone amongst them. Denali was the same for me.

Could be, but it seems that every canine companion I've ever had has possessed an uncanny sort of radar about whose shoes were the appropriate ones to pee on. My collie got a policeman's shoe really good one time.
