Always having fun working at mr bob's work places. Been loosing weight and pants keep falling down somewhat. Keeping eye on gas in car driving less. Emachines desk top computer from fairbanks purchase and sister linda view sonic monitor is doing very good. Whole Government of China thinks mr bob is MacGyver. Kind of cool. I am happy. Thank you..

So, I'm almost done with The Final Frontiersman, the book about Heimo Korth, and I'm about to read Land of the Radioactive Midnight Sun, both of which were recommended to me by members of this forum. The book about Heimo has taught me one thing for damn sure: I do not want to live the way he does. I have so much respect for him, but I know that I just couldn't do that. I mean, anytime you have any sort of hardship, you're all alone, a LOOONG way from any other people who can help you. Also, living in the Brooks Range with no power, water, etc., is not for me. But it seems that people like Heimo were, in the end, very good for Alaska. They earned the respect of the Natives, they successfully ran their traplines and all, and they fought the conservationist fight when it had to be fought. Sort of.

I know that's long, but that was me trying to keep it short. There is SO MUCH in that book, I could sit here all day and talk about it. But I won't subject you all to that.
