Nothing "new" about it. Any dictionary or thesaurus you look at will give you that direction, and many of them are far older than the 20th century, I'm sure. For example, synonyms of "proverb" are things like "saying", "adage", "dictum", and "maxim". The bible is all well and good, but it isn't a dictionary.

That's right-no property tax in Delta Junction, and you can have a cattle ranch or farm. They tried to form a borough a few years ago but the vote was NO! It's a long drive to Fairbanks to buy affordable groceries though. There is an IGA in town but it is expensive. They might be expanding soon though-not sure what is going to happen but the building attached to the IGA was just purchased by them. You could work at Ft. Greely.

The city gets money through PILT's (payments in lieu of taxes) from some entities-Pogo Gold Mine and the US Government but I'm not sure of the details.
