Kodiak its often raining for days at a time...sometimes weeks...but I dont mind because it makes the few days of sunny weather you get a month all the much better to do something productive like sit inside and play video games all day. Its also so warm here in winter that I never even had the need for a hat or gloves due to the ocean keeping the temperature right near 32 degrees. The downside to that is that it constantly snows then rains and vice versa and you get ice everywhere.

Some additional information on Juneau. While the official rainfall average is 56.97 inches, there are places on the road system where the average rainfall is closer to 110 inches. I think the official spot is in a rain shadow so figure there are a lot of cloudy days.
